Albino Albico
Carissimi, mamma, papà, fratello sorella e compagni tutti,
mi trovo senz’altro a breve distanza dall’esecuzione.

South Africa.

Climate.
South Africa has a great variety of climate zones. In the south west, the climate is Mediterranean, with warm summers and cool winters. The average annual temperature in this area is around 17°C and the maximum temperature can reach 32°C in the summer.
In the desert regions, in the north, temperatures can reach between 38°C and 42°C.
The mountainous areas, north east of Cape Town, have the coldest winters.

Produce.
South Africa produces one fifth o the  entire production of the African continent. It is the largest producer of gold in the world and has many valuable diamond mines. It is also famous for its excellent wine.

People.
About 80% of the population of the South Africa is black, but they come from a variety of different ethnic groups and speak many different languages. The white 10% of the population are descended mainly from Dutch, German, French and British people. They are divided into Afrikaners, who speak Afrikaans, and English speakers.
2% of the population describe themselves as Asian. They are mainly Indian in origin and are descended from the workers brought into South Africa to work on the sugar plantations in Natal.

Wildlife.
There are 580 games parks in South Africa where you can see wild animals including zebras, giraffes, monkeys and hippos. The Kruger National Park is bigger than the country of Wales and it's got over 140 different species of mammel, 510 species of bird, 115 different species of reptile, 33 species of amphibian and 47 species of fish.
Many people who visit the game parks are hoping to see the Big Five- elephants, lions, buffalo, leopards and the rhinos. However, not all wildlife is good- mosquitoes kill more than one million people every year in Africa!

Australia

 Australia is the largest Island in the world. The Australia continent is in the southern hemisphere and its seasons are the opposite of the northern hemisphere. The capital is Canberra. Summer in Europe and North America is winter in Australia. Apart from Antarctica, Australia is the driest continent. The driest parts of Australia are the interior. The people mainly live in the cities along the coast. Most of Australia is empty and this is because most of it is desert. This desert region is located mainly in the centre of the country and it is called the Outback.  The children in the Outback don’t go to school. They get their lessons through the radio and via the Internet. The doctor also visit by plane. They call him “flying doctor”. Australia has a tropical, temperate and dry regions, with different weather conditions for each region. In winter, the weather is very mild compared with Europe or North America and snow is very rare except in the mountains of Tasmania and South Eastern Australia.

Aborigines.
Aborigines originally came from Asia. Aborigines lived in tribes of about ten of fifty people, but they didn’t live in one place: they were nomads. Aborigines spoke about 500 different languages, but only around 30 exist today.  Today modern Aborigines are allowed to preserve their culture. They have their own flag. It is black and red with a yellow circle.

Sporting life.
 The mild climate also means that Australians can do sport all the year round. The most popular games that people take part in are golf, tennis, netball, soccer and swimming. Cricket and rugby are also a popular spectator sports.

Life’s a beach.
People say that in Australia life is a beach. This is because most of the population lives about twenty minutes’, drive away from one of the 7000 beaches in Australia. Australian beaches are usually sandy and white. The most famous beach is Bondi Beach. It is just outside Sydney, and it is famous for its surfers and volunteer lifeguards.

Christmas the Australian way.
Christmas in Australia is in the middle of the long, hot summer. Christmas is in the middle of the school summer holidays. Christmas in Australia is very different to Christmas in Europe. On Christmas Day, many families have a barbecue on the beach. December 26th, or Boxing Day, is a day of sport. There is always an international cricket match as well as rugby and Australian Rules matches.

I Viglili del Fuoco.

1) I Vigili del Fuoco sono presenti 24 su 24 in tutto l'arco dell'anno per soccorrere i cittadini in caso di bisogno ;
2) In Italia sono la punta di diamante della PROTEZIONE CIVILE ;
3)Complessivamente in Italia i Vigili del Fuoco sono circa 3000, tutti attualmente specializzati ;

-aprire subito la porta per impedire che si blocchi ;
-mettersi al sicuro ad esempio attaccandosi ad un muro maestro ;
-allontanarsi da tutto quello che potrebbe caderci addosso e dalle finestre (o vetrate) ;

-prestare attenzioni a non sostare o passare sotto balconi, grondaie, ecc. perchè potrebbe cadere e ferirci e, se non trovi qualche riparo proteggerci la testa con le braccia ;
-se ti trovi in macchina ci puoi restare perchè ti proteggi la testa però devi fare attenzione a dove la parcheggi;
-se sei in spiaggia vattene perchè si potrebbe creare uno Tsunami.

Principali pericoli dopo un terremoto:
-incendi ;
-fughe di gas ;
-il deterioramento delle condizioni igienico-sanitarie.

Catastrofi naturali.

-Margine convergente (faglie inverse e trascorrenti;
-Margine divergente (faglie normali o dirette);
-Margine trasforma (faglie trasformi).

-Magnitudo (energia che viene sprigionata);
-Intensità (valutazione della forza dello scuotimento).
